Man Swerving, Driving Wrong Way Arrested For OWI

A 62-year-old man had a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit when he was arrested for drunken driving Saturday night, according to a police report.

A witness called police about 11:30 p.m. after seeing him driving erratically on 27th Street, and then swerving and driving the wrong way on Puetz Road, the report said.

An officer pulled him over just before he reached his residence on W. Aspen Drive.Β He admitted to police he was drunk, failed field sobriety tests, and officers noted red glassy eyes and intoxicants on his breath, according to the police report.

His preliminary blood-alcohol content was .21. He was taken into custody for first-offense drunken driving.
