Oak Creek resident Sergio Aleman was killed in an on-duty car accident one year ago Wednesday.

Sheriff's Deputy and Oak Creek resident Sergio Aleman will be remembered in an observance Wednesday, exactly one year after he was killed in an on-duty crash

Sheriff's Office personnel will gather at noon for a short ceremony at a memorial statue located at the MCSO Training Academy, 9225 S. 68th St., Franklin. Sheriff David Clarke and retired Capt. Mark Stieber will reveal the engraving of Aleman's name on the statue.

Aleman was killed when the Sheriff's vehicle he was driving crashed into a tow truck on Interstate 43 near downtown Milwaukee. He left behind a wife, Jenna, and five children.
