Men Get Multiple Citations After Property Theft

One of the men fled as police arrived at 21st Street and W. Woodward Drive, according to a police report.

Two men who were caught stealing a downspout from an Oak Creek resident's property wound up with theft, loitering and drug-related citations.

According to an report, a resident near 21st Street and W. Woodward Drive called 911 after he saw the men walk up to a house, take off the downspout and walk away with it.

The caller, a 55-year-old man, confronted the men and they put it back. But as police arrived, one of the men fled. A 20-year-old from Union Grove was apprehended nearby in the 2200 block of W. Hilltop Lane.

Police found two downspouts in the vehicle along with an open beer, 1.75 grams of marijuana and a pipe.

The 20-year-old was cited for loitering and marijuana possession. The other man, a 19-year-old from Grendale, received citations for theft, loitering and drug paraphernalia possession.
