Money Taken in Burglary at 27th Street Bar

More than $1,000 was missing from Diane's Second Chance Saloon, according to an Oak Creek police report. The money was taken in the overnight hours Saturday.

Oak Creek police are investigating an apparent burglary at , 9430 S. 27th St., over the Memorial Day weekend.

According to a police report, an employee entered the building about 4:35 a.m. Saturday to count money from the previous night and check on the residence, but found two doors ajar and a window open before discovering the missing money, according to the report.

An estimated $1,000 was taken from a cash drawer and lottery box, according to the report.

Police found no evidence of forced entry and did not identify any possible suspects.
