Motorcyclist Injured In Accident

Both drivers cited in car-vs.-motorcycle accident Wednesday.

A car-vs.-motorcycle accident on Howell Avenue Wednesday resulted in citations for both drivers and a trip to the hospital for the motorcyclist. 

Both vehicles were northbound in the 8000 block of S. Howell Ave. about 3:40 p.m. The car was in the shoulder lane and the motorcycle was merging into the shoulder lane - to turn into the parking lot - when the vehicles collided, according to an Oak Creek police report.

The car suffered minor scratches and a cracked windshield, but the motorcycle had severe damage.

The 38-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to Froedtert Hospital; the extent of his injuries were not known. He was cited for failure to yield right-of-way while making a right turn.

The driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman, was cited for unsafe passing on the right.
