Oak Creek Man Charged With 5th OWI
Police say the 44-year-old drove the wrong way down a busy Milwaukee street Thursday and now faces felony drunken driving charges.
A 44-year-old Oak Creek man is facing felony drunken driving charges after police spotted him driving the wrong way down a busy Milwaukee street Thursday.
Darrin Tomasczak was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of fifth-offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

A Milwaukee police officer on patrol Thursday spotted Tomasczak driving eastbound in the westbound lane in the 1400 block of W. Oklahoma Ave. The officer pulled Tomasczak over and immediately noticed he had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol.
Tomasczak failed field sobriety tests, was arrested and taken to a hospital for a blood test.

He was previously convicted of drunk driving in 1994, 2003, 2006 and 2007. He’s currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail.
