On July 6, Milwaukee police officers were at the scene of a fatal traffic accident in the 1200 block of East Oklahoma Avenue when Harris drove his Pontiac Vibe around a squad car, which was acting as a barricade to the scene, and into the active investigation.

Officers told him he couldn't drive through the area, but Harris told them he would drive through the scene if he wanted to. He then got out of his car and tried walking away from the scene several times, but was stopped by officers.

One officer told Harris he would be free to go after he was issued a citation. However, Harris decided to get back into his car and drive toward a sidewalk crowded with people and a news media van. Officers then removed Harris from his car by force and he told them he was the authority and could do as he wanted.

Harris was arrested and taken to the police station, but refused to cooperate while being booked. He told the officers he was "god" and the earth was put here to do as he pleased.

Harris is currently free on a $200 signature bond while awaiting trial.Β
