Oak Creek Man Facing Felony Drunk Driving Charges

30-year-old could barely keep his balance while riding a motorcycle, according to police.

A 30-year-old Oak Creek man is facing felony drunk driving charges after he was .

Benjamin J. Winkleman was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with fifth offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

were alerted to a possible drunken driver Sunday travelling eastbound on Carrington Avenue Sunday, where they found Winkleman driving a motorcycle with no registration displayed. He was not stopping for any of the stop signs and almost tipped over several times because he was unable to keep his balance.

After being pulled over, police needed to assist Winkleman in walking because he was unable to keep his balance. He was then taken in for a blood-alcohol test, the results of which are not yet known.

Winkleman was previously convicted of OWI in 2004, 2006, 2008 and last March. He’s currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $2,500 cash bond.
