Oak Creek, Milwaukee Fires Reportedly Not Connected

The strange story of fires that broke out on the same day at properties owned by the same family is still not entirely resolved.

Authorities believe fires that broke out on the same day last year at properties owned by the same family are not connected, according to a WISN-TV report.

The bizarre chain of events on June 20 began with a massive fire at Food Castle, 1227 W. Vliet St. in Milwaukee.

A few hours later, a fire broke out in a garage at 10130 S. Warwick Drive in Oak Creek. The listed owners of the properties are family members Jamil and Imad Sarsour, respectively.

Investigators initially believed arson was the cause of the fires and focused on an Oak Creek man seen at both of them, according to the report. He has since been ruled out as a suspect, and officials now believe the blazes are separate.

The family said early on that "there is no reason for us to believe that the fires were anything other than accidental or electrical in origin."

WISN reported the cause of the fires is still not known.

Grow up. We won't forget either. That those of you who had a little bit, held tightfisted to it likeRead More a four year old unwilling to share his toy truck. That you endorsed and supported a man who has gone on to undermine this state, its jobs, its infrastructure, its education system, its people, its very foundation. You remember...it was you who did this.
