Oak Creek Police Arrest Naked Amtrak Passenger

A 38-year-old woman refused to say why she stripped down on the train, which was stopped in Oak Creek at the Puetz Road crossing.

It's not entirely clear why a 38-year-old West Allis woman decided to get naked on an Amtrak train and refuse to speak with police or respond to their directions.

But, according to an Oak Creek police report, that's exactly what happened.

An Amtrak conductor stopped the train at the Puetz Road crossing just after 6 p.m. Tuesday after finding the woman in a vestibule completely nude.

She had apparently been building up to that point. Earlier, an Amtrak employee serving food found her laying down in the vestibule of the rear train car and told her she needed to sit in a seat.

Instead, she took her shirt off and moved to a different location in the train, where she was found by another employee who told her to put her shirt back on.

By the time the conductor did a walk-through of the train, all of her clothes were off.

She was still naked when officers arrived, sitting on the floor with her eyes closed and holding onto a beaded necklace. She wouldn't speak to officers or comply with their commands.

Police told her she was being placed under arrest and tried to help her stand, but she locked her arms down and refused.

Thinking she may be having a medical emergency, Oak Creek paramedics were called in and assisted getting her into an ambulance.

However, the woman finally started talking when they got to the hospital and said she was "playing games" with officers.

She never said why she took her clothes off, but displayed an understanding of what she did. Realizing no medical care was needed, the hospital released her to her father.

Oak Creek police cited her for lewd and lascivious behavior and resisting arrest.
