The Walgreens at Howell and Ryan was one of several across the country evacuated after a bomb threat.

The Walgreens store at Howell Avenue and Ryan Road was one of several across the country evacuated due to a bomb threat Monday.

The store closed just before 5 p.m., with Oak Creek police and Sheriff's Office vehicles blocking both entrances. It reopened about an hour later.

Two Walgreens stores in Wauwatosa were also targeted by a bomb threat, according to Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News.

The company also received bomb threats at stores in Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota and Georgia.

Walgreens is not commenting on possible motives behind the threats.
