Obama Protesters Asked To Stay Out of Street

A group reportedly passed out anti-Barack Obama literature near the post office and held signs calling for the president to be impeached last week.

Oak Creek police were called to the United States Post Office last week after a report that a person handing out anti-Barack Obama brochures was standing in the street impeding traffic.

About 4:40 p.m. April 24, an officer responded to the 200 block of E. Centennial Drive and told the person that if people park their cars on Mayhew Drive to speak with her, she should have them meet her in a grassy area out of traffic so no accidents occur, according to the police department logbook.

Earlier in the afternoon, a group told police it would be handing out information regarding politics in the area of Mayhew and Centennial and holding signs calling for the president's impeachment, according to the logbook.
