A 56-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital and two people are in custody following a shooting in South Milwaukee early Wednesday morning, according to Patch's media partners at Fox 6.

The shooting took place at the Southtowne Place apartments just south of E. College Avenue, between 15th and Packard avenues.

Police say a two-hour standoff ensured when another man inside the apartment resisted exiting because of an outstanding warrant. He and a 45-year-old woman were arrested.
