Phone Call From Concerned Resident Leads to Drunken Driving Arrest

37-year-old Georgia man arrested Christmas night.

An eyewitness' phone call to police about a possible drunken driver led to the arrest of a man who was allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit Christmas night.

Police received a call just before 8 p.m. Sunday from an Oak Creek resident who said she saw a possible intoxicated driver who was all over the road, nearly driving down into a ditch.

The vehicle was southbound on Pennsylvania Avenue near Highway 100 before making a U-turn and eventually turning west on Highway 100, the woman told police. An officer caught up to the vehicle and pulled it over in the 300 block of E. Highway 100, near Shepard Avenue.
