About 100 kids participated in Sunday's children's bike rodeo at American Legion Post 434. 

The Oak Creek Police Department event included many bicycle-related exercises designed to improve children's skills on the bike. Children went around cones, stayed inside boxes, and traveled down lanes on a course spray-painted on the concrete. Inside the building, they watched a video about proper bike safety.

Bike patrol officers led participants on a group ride at 2 p.m. Children also received bike helmets and had a chance to win a bike.
