Police Arrest Woman For 5th OWI

A witness called 911 about a vehicle that was swerving, speeding and hitting the curb on Rawson Avenue near Farm and Fleet.

A 51-year-old Oak Creek woman seen swerving, speeding and hitting the curb was arrested for drunken driving for the fifth time Tuesday night.

A driver called 911 about 9:10 p.m. regarding the woman's erratic driving on W. Rawson Avenue, in the 600 block near Farm and Fleet, according to a police report. The driver told police the vehicle hit the curb five times.

An officer pulled the vehicle over near E. Rawson and S. Clement avenues. After the woman refused to take sobriety tests, she was arrested, taken to Wheaton Hospital for a blood draw and then to county jail, according to the report.
