A man who called 911 saying he was drunk and had a headache was also taken to a hospital April 23, according to police.

A man who called 911 saying he drank too much and had a bad headache earned himself a trip to the hospital and a citation for misuse of emergency telephone numbers.

Police responded to the intersection of 27th Street and Rawson Avenue about 5:45 p.m. April 23 and realized the man "had no chief complaint," other than he had been drinking all day at the nearby Park Motel, according to the department logbook.

Officers recovered and disposed of two cans of beer, and paramedics took him to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital, according to police.
