Police Make Two OWI Arrests at Same Spot
As police cleared the scene of a drunken-driving arrest, another intoxicated driver stopped in traffic and started texting, according to a police report.
Two drunken drivers were arrested at the same spot within 40 minutes of each other early Sunday morning.
According to Oak Creek police reports:
About 2:45 a.m., an officer in the 2600 block of W. Rawson Avenue checked on a vehicle parked in the middle of the road and noticed an odor of intoxicants on the breath of the driver.

The driver, a 26-year-old Franklin man, admitted to having four drinks in a bar prior to driving. He failed sobriety tests and had a preliminary blood-alcohol content of .13.
While police waited for a tow truck to remove the vehicle, another driver pulled up behind a squad car about 3:25 a.m. The driver stopped in traffic and started texting.

An officer made contact with the driver, a 23-year-old Oak Creek man, and noted slurred speech, red glassy eyes and alcohol on his breath.
The man admitted to drinking downtown and stated multiple times he made a stupid mistake and should not have driven home.
He failed sobriety tests and had a preliminary blood-alcohol content of .14.
