Police: Man Showed Knife at Oak Creek Bar, Threatened Officers

A 38-year-old Oak Creek man has been charged after June 23 incident at Jeff's Restaurant and Bar.

A 38-year-old Oak Creek man has been charged after police say he displayed a knife inside Jeff's Restaurant & Bar, 1000 E. Rawson Ave., and threatened to shoot police officers.

Michael D. Kosikowski has been charged with disorderly conduct-use of a dangerous weapon after the incident in the early morning hours of June 23.

According to a criminal complaint:

For about an hour, Kosikowski was inside the bar flipping a four-inch knife open and shut and hitting on every woman there. At one point, he grabbed a female bartender by the back of the neck and attempted to kiss her.

He then followed the bartender when she tried to go to the bathroom. When the bartender told him he could not enter the woman's bathroom, Kosikowski took the knife from his pocket and flipped it open.

The bartender then ran into the bathroom and locked the door as Kosikowski pounded on the door.

Kosikowski tried to leave when police arrived at the bar about 12:15 a.m.

He was agitated and argumentative and told police he would get his AK-47 and shoot officers, saying he knew what types of rounds would pierce body armor. He also threatened to head-butt a police sergeant.

Police arrested him and later found the knife in the garbage.

Kosikowski is due in court for an initial appearance Aug. 5. He faces nine months in prison and a $1,000 fine if convicted.
