Police Nab Suspects In South Milwaukee Robbery

Two men were arrested just east of the Oak Creek-South Milwaukee border.

Two suspects in a robbery in South Milwaukee were caught by Oak Creek and South Milwaukee officers Sunday afternoon.Β 

According to an Oak Creek police report, a robbery occurred near 14th and College avenues about 3:50 p.m. Two male suspects fledΒ on foot through an apartment complex and toward South Milwaukee High School.

Oak Creek police responded and checked the cities' border (Pennsylvania Avenue) and surrounding areas, but they were unable to find anyone matching the suspects' description, the report said.

Officers responded again about a half hour later when SMPD radio traffic indicated police were in a foot pursuit with one of the suspects near Donald and Elaine avenues in South Milwaukee.

Both suspects were taken into custody at 4:34 p.m., according to the police report.
