Police Say Crash Caused By Drunken Driver

Two people were injured in accident on Ryan Road Tuesday night.

A 33-year-old Milwaukee man was allegedly under the influence when he ran a stop sign and hit a vehicle in the 1600 block of E. Ryan Road Tuesday night.

According to an report:

The man was westbound on Ryan Road with two children in the car about 7:15 p.m. He struck the vehicle, which was northbound on Nicholson Road, and sent it into the ditch. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

He admitted to police he was drunk and had a preliminary blood-alcohol content of .14.Β 

He was arrested for two counts of causing injury while driving drunk. The severity of the injuries was unknown.Β

He was also cited for failure to yield right-of-way and operating without insurance.
