Pregnant Woman Hospitalized in Car-vs.-Semi Accident
Flight for Life was called to scene of accident on 13th Street.
A 35-year-old Oak Creek woman was taken to the hospital this morning after a semi-vs.-car accident in the 9300 block of S. 13th St.
According to an Oak Creek police report, the accident happened about 5:50 a.m. The woman, who was 20 weeks pregnant, was trapped in the vehicle and complaining of back pain, the report said. At 6 a.m., police called for Flight for Life.
It did not appear the semi driver, a 43-year-old man from Springfield, Mo., was injured.
