Rain, High Winds Sweep Through Oak Creek

High Wind Warning in effect until Thursday morning.

A High Wind Warning went into effect at 4 p.m. Wednesday, with wind gusts potentially reaching up to 60 mph along the Lake Michigan, according to the National Weather Service.

The warning will continue until 4 a.m. Thursday. Strong winds are expected to continue through Thursday morning and may be damaging, the weather service said.

In Oak Creek, a power line was reported down on 15th Avenue just north of Ryan Road late Wednesday afternoon. We Energies and the Oak Creek fire and police departments were at the scene about 5 p.m. No other outages in Oak Creek were posted on We Energies' power outage map.
