Updated: Police Chase Ends in Crash

Three people injured in accident Saturday night.

A 16-year-old boy trying to elude Franklin police struck a vehicle and injured three people on Puetz Road Saturday night.

According to an Oak Creek police report:

A Franklin police officer attempted to stop a Toyota Corolla after seeing a damaged bumper and no license plate about 7:30 p.m. The vehicle, driven by a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy, fled from police on eastbound Puetz Road at a high rate of speed.

Near the Interstate 94 overpass, the boy rear-ended a vehicle, sending it down an embankment on the south side of Puetz before coming to rest on a chain-link fence.

The 16-year-old's car spun around and hit a guard rail on the west side of Puetz.

Flight for Life was called for one of the passengers, a 33-year-old South Milwaukee woman, in the vehicle that was hit. The other two passengers, ages 61 and 63, also from South Milwaukee, were taken by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital.Β 

Police later learned the boy stole the car from First Rate Auto in Franklin. He was taken into custody uninjured, according to a report from WISN.
