Armed Robbery Foiled at Subway

Worker refused robber's demand for money.

An armed robbery was foiled at Subway, 0670 S. Chicago Ave., Wednesday night, after the worker refused the robber's demand for money, despite being threatened with a gun.

Oak Creek police responded to a 9-1-1 call of a robbery at 8:45 p.m. The caller reported that a man with a gun demanded money and ran away after the worker said no. No money was taken.

The suspect, who was described to be in his 20's, about 6 feet tall with a black towel wrapped around his face, wearing a hoodie, blue jeans and gloves, fled on foot behind building.

Police conducted a search with the K9 unit and were unable to locate the suspect.
