Stolen Semi Found in Illinois

A woman reported the semi stolen from Wisconsin Kenworth on Saturday night. It was later found unoccupied near the state line.

A semi stolen from Wisconsin Kenworth, 9350 S. 22nd St., was later recovered in a ditch near the Wisconsin-Illinois border, according to an Oak Creek police report.

According to the report:

A woman called the Oak Creek Police Department about 11:30 p.m. Saturday saying the semi was stolen within the last hour and that her brother was driving his personal vehicle looking for it.

An officer then got a call back from the woman saying her brother found the semi and is being held at gunpoint in Chicago.

Police later learned no weapons were involved and neither person had much information about a possible suspect. The semi was unoccupied when authorities found it after midnight near the state line.
