Slippery College Ave. Shut Down Early Sunday

Six accidents reported between Howell and Pennsylvania avenues.

College Avenue was shut down for a time early Sunday morning as authorities worked to clear six accidents between Howell and College avenues.

Slippery roads caused nine accidents in total between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., according to Oak Creek police reports. The Oak Creek Street Department was sent out about midnight to improve road conditions.

Police blocked both lanes of College Avenue about 12:30 a.m.. The street was re-opened a short time later.
