Strong-Armed Robbery On 27th Street

An unidentified person hit a 30-year-old man and took his wallet in the 10500 block of S. 27th St. early Saturday, according to police.

A 30-year-old Milwaukee man walking on the southern end of 27th Street in Oak Creek was the victim of a strong-armed robbery early Saturday morning.

The man left On The Border, 10741 S. 27th St., about 1 a.m. and was walking northbound when a van approached him from behind in the 10500 block, according to an Oak Creek police report.

The driver of the van got out, hit the man, took his wallet and drove off, according to the report.

The man suffered lacerations and swelling to his right eye and hand. He was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital.

The van was described as a mid-2000s gray Dodge minivan and was occupied by four people, according to the police report.

No suspects were immediately identified. Police are investigating the incident.
