Deangelo Williams waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday. He faces a homicide charge after the death of Dalbir Singh, a member of the Sikh temple in Oak Creek.

A 16-year-old boy charged with the murder of Oak Creek Sikh Temple member Dalbir Singh waived his right to a preliminary hearing during a court appearance Tuesday, according to Patch's media partners at Fox 6.

Deangelo Williams was charged with first-degree reckless homicide-party to a crime and possession of a firearm by a felon.

He is accused at Harmony Food Store, 3821 W. Locust St., on Aug. 15. Singh and his nephew tried to fend off Williams as the store closed about 9 p.m., but Williams fired a shot through the door that struck Singh in the head, according to a criminal complaint.
