26-year-old Texas man arrested at Comfort Suites on charges of manufacturing marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.

A 26-year-old man from Dallas, Texas was arrested outside the Thursday after police found 300 grams of marijuana in a vehicle and drug paraphernalia in his hotel room.

An officer noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle pull into the parking lot of the hotel, 6362 S. 13th St., about 9:05 a.m., according to an Oak Creek police report.

The driver told police he was there to pick up a friend, who spent the night at the hotel. While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed a strong smell of marijuana, as well as a blue duffel bag and a backpack on the passenger side.

The driver's friend, a 26-year-old man, said the bags were his, according to the report. Inside the bags were 300 grams of a substance that tested positive for marijuana.

A search of the man's hotel room yielded a grinder and glass pipe with burnt residue, according to the report. Police said they also found a credit card-sized grinder in the man's wallet.

The 26-year-old was arrested for manufacturing/delivery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He remains in Milwaukee County Jail. He had not been charged as of Friday morning.

According to online court records, he was previously convicted of manufacturing/delivering drugs in 2008 while living in Milwaukee.
