Three Arrested For Breaking Into Cars

Resident phones police after seeing men looking into vehicles.

Oak Creek police arrested three people early Tuesday morning for breaking into vehicles near the Riverwood Arms apartment complex.

A resident was walking his dog about 2 a.m. in the 500 block of W. Riverwood Drive (south of W. Puetz Road) when he noticed three men looking into vehicles, according to an Oak Creek police report. The men did not see him, however, so the resident quickly went inside and called police.

The men ran away when officers showed up, according to the report. Police caught two of the three men and they admitted to entering three to four vehicles. Police recovered a computer, an ID card and change.

Officers cited a 19-year-old man for theft, obstructing police, loitering and underage possession of intoxicants.

A 24-year-old man was cited for providing alcohol to an underage person, as well as theft, loitering and obstructing police.

The third man, 19, later came into the and turned himself in. He was cited for underage possession of alcohol, loitering and theft.
