Three Suspects Sought In Gas Station Break-In

Police say suspects stole multiple cartons of cigarettes.

Two people broke into the Mobil gas station at 1200 W. Rawson Ave. early Monday morning and stole numerous cartons of cigarettes, while a third man stood outside as a lookout, according to Oak Creek police.

According to a police report:

Police got a call about 3:50 a.m. from the store's security company indicating an alarm sounding at the front door.

The door was open when officers arrived. Police found pry marks on the door and discovered multiple cartons of cigarettes were stolen from a storage compartment.

Two men were seen on a surveillance video approaching the front door with tools in their hands. The video shows them forcing the door open and going behind the counter to steal cigarettes before fleeing on foot to the parking lot northeast of Mobil.

The video also shows a third suspect standing outside as a lookout.

Police were still investigating Monday.

The break-in was the second incident at a Mobil station in Oak Creek over the weekend. The Mobil near the corner of Ryan Road and Highway 32 was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night.
