Two Facing Drug Charges After Alleged Retail Theft at Menards

What started as a retail theft investigation led to a drug-related citation and an arrest.

A man and a woman were arrested for drug-related offenses after Menards security detained two 24-year-olds for retail theft.

According to an Oak Creek police report, employees at , 6800 S. 27th St., saw a 24-year-old man remove items from packaging and conceal them in his pockets just after 5 p.m. March 23.

Another 24-year-old man was seen removing an item and handing it to the other, according to the report. Police cited one of the men for retail theft and the other for retail theft-party to a crime.

An officer later found drug paraphernalia on one of the men and added a citation for drug paraphernalia possession, according to the report.

More drug paraphernalia and Oxycodone pills were found in their vehicle after a police canine was brought in, police said.

The vehicle's owner, a 24-year-old woman, was arrested for possession of schedule II narcotics.
