Two Teenagers Cited After Incident at Basketball Game Escalates

Boys allege threats of violence were made.

Oak Creek police cited two teenagers for disorderly conduct Tuesday night after an incident that began at a basketball game in South Milwaukee escalated after the boys left.

According to police reports:

The mother of an 18-year-old man called police about 9:15 p.m., saying her son was chased by a boy with a knife after he got home from the game.

The mom said he was followed home, to the 7600 block of S. Lenox Ave., by a vehicle with five male occupants. One of them got out and chased the boy with a knife, then got back into the car and headed northbound.

Police located the vehicle near the intersection of Drexel and Howell and identified a 17-year-old as the boy who allegedly chased the 18-year-old with a knife.

The 17-year-old told police he and his friends were at a basketball game in South Milwaukee when the 18-year-old made threats he would put him in the hospital.

When they got to the residence, the 18-year-old came out of the house with a baseball bat, the boy told police. At that point, they got back into the car and left, he said.

The 17-year-old admitted to following him home in a "provoking manner."

Both boys were arrested for disorderly conduct and issued citations.Β
