An Oak Creek police officer performed CPR on a man found not breathing in the police station parking lot. Paramedics arrived soon and took him to the hospital.

An Oak Creek police officer possibly saved the life of a 53-year-old man he found not breathing in the police station parking lot.

According to an Oak Creek police report, the man's girlfriend was taking him to a hospital but pulled into the police station when he became unresponsive and slumped over.

The officer began CPR until paramedics from the Oak Creek Fire Department arrived. Paramedics were able to get a pulse and transported him to St. Francis Hospital, according to the report.

Earlier in the day, the man complained of pain and cramping in his left arm, police said. He became more ill after dinner, and when his symptoms didn't improve after taking medicine and drinking fluids, his girlfriend attempted to drive him to the hospital.
