A witness called police about a truck going 80 mph down Nicholson Road and provided officers with a license plate number, leading to the arrest of a 34-year-old man at his South Milwaukee home.
According to an report, the truck cut in front of the witness' vehicle and almost tipped itself over in the 9700 block of S. Nicholson Road about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Using the license plate number the witness provided, police found the truck parked in front of a residence on Fifth Avenue in South Milwaukee.
The man was unsteady on his feet, slurred his words, smelled of intoxicants and had red glassy eyes, according to the police report.
He admitted to having a few drinks but refused to take a field sobriety test, the report said.
Police arrested him for operating under the influence.
