Woman Facing Drug Charge After Arrest In McDonald's Parking Lot

Police started investigating after seeing money exchange hands inside a vehicle, according to a report.

A 42-year-old Waukesha woman was cited for drug paraphernalia possession after a police canine picked up a scent in the truck parking lot at , 9471 S. 13th St., Sunday night.

According to a police report, an officer saw a man sitting in a vehicle and another man get in and exchange money about 9:10 p.m. Sunday. The man then left and got back into his vehicle.

The officer talked to the first man, a 38-year-old from Oak Creek, who told him he purchased movies and video games from the other man, a 23-year-old Sussex resident.

The officer brought in a police canine to sniff the vehicle and it indicated on the passenger's side door, and then again on a purse and backpack belonging to a female passenger, according to the report.

Police said they found plastic bags with brown residue believed to be heroin, empty pill bottles with marijuana residue, a broken marijuana pipe and a needle used to inject heroin.

The woman was cited for drug paraphernalia possession and arrested when she was found to have a warrant with the Waukesha Police Department for operating while intoxicated.
