Woman Gets OWI With Child In Car

37-year-old had blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit.

A 37-year-old woman had her 5-year-old son in the car when she was arrested for drunken driving Wednesday morning, according to Oak Creek police.

An officer pulled her over for speeding in the 7600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 1:15 a.m. After he started speaking with the woman, he noticed alcohol on her breath, according to a police report. The woman told police she had three beers.

According to police, she failed field sobriety tests and had a .17 preliminary blood-alcohol content, more than twice the legal limit.

She was cited for speeding and operating while intoxicated with a passenger under 16 years old.
