Woman Injured After Driver Runs Stop Sign

Two-car accident occurred at Puetz and Pennsylvania on Wednesday.

say a woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle was hit by a car that ran a stop sign at Puetz Road and Pennsylvania Avenue Wednesday morning.

The 23-year-old South Milwaukee woman was traveling northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue through the intersection with Puetz Road about 6:45 a.m., according to a police report.

A second vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old Greenfield man whose license was suspended, went through the stop sign eastbound on Puetz and struck the woman's vehicle, the report said.

The woman was taken to the hospital with pain in her neck and shoulder. Her vehicle suffered severe damage on the rear passenger side, while the other car had minor damage to the front bumper.

The 36-year-old was cited for operating after suspension and failure to obey a stop sign, according to the report.
