Dear Supervisor Cesarz:

Find out what's happening in Oak Creekwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

I can't imagine that it was a great few days for you after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel published a piece that quoted numerous people complaining about your tenure - and specifically, your communication skills - as county supervisor. Then, a fellow county board member called for a referendum on supervisors having full-time employment outside their government duties, specifically naming you in a press release as the reason why.

So let me take this opportunity to invite you to prove your critics wrong and communicate directly with your constiuents here on Oak Creek Patch.

For all I know, this could be the first time you've visited the site. I've tried calling and emailing you numerous times but haven't received a response. And I've never seen you in the community so I haven't had an opportunity to introduce myself face-to-face.

With that in mind, let me give you a rundown on what you can do on Patch: you can maintain a blog (like ) or write a guest column. You can add important events going on in your district to our calendar. You can post announcements...it's sort of like (read: it is) an online, daily newspaper for Oak Creek. In fact, a lot residents get our newsletter delivered in their inbox every day - just like getting a print newspaper on your doorstep!

Since most Oak Creek residents count you as their voice on the county board, it would be great if they could hear from you here. Totally unedited, completely in your own words. Maybe some residents would chime in and we could get a dialogue going about county issues. What fun!

I saw that at least three people are running against you in April. I'll give your opponents the same opportunity, so it wouldn't be the worst idea to have a voice on the site in the weeks and months before the election in April, assuming you are running again (like I said, I haven't had the chance to ask you).

Call me anytime at (262) 497-1633 or e-mail mark.schaaf@patch.com. Would love to talk about this some more.

Warmest regards,

Mark Schaaf
