Budget Cuts to Hit Oak Creek Says Fiscal Bureau (Update)
Oak Creek can expect to lose transportation and municipal aid due to Walker's 2011-2013 Budget
Wisconsin's Legislative Fiscal Bureau has determined that Scott Walker's 2011-2013 Budget plan could result in cuts of $246,000 in transportation aid and $519,000 in municipal aid for Oak Creek.
Earlier this week, the Fiscal Bureau released numerous memos detailing their analysis of the Governor's budget, which stands to affect funding to Wisconsin's towns, cities, villages, and counties alike.
The cuts to Oak Creek's transportation and municipal aid are just part of $96 million in total, statewide funding reductions that the LFB projects will go into effect for the 2012 calender year.

City Administrator, Gerald Peterson, says that his staff is currently in the process of reviewing Walker's proposed budget and Budget Repair Legislation in an effort to understand how it will impact Oak Creek. According to Peterson, "There will need to be discussions and decisions made as to how to balance the City Budget."
