Car Rental Service Proposal Moves Forward

Dollar Thrifty plans to open a facility on College Avenue to maintain, clean and store vehicles.

A proposal for Dollar Thrifty car rental service to open a facility on College Avenue in Oak Creek has moved closer to fruition.

The Oak Creek Common Council approved a conditional-use permit for the business to operate at 561 W. College Ave., previously the site of Envirotest Wisconsin.

Dollar Thrifty plans to use the Oak Creek site only to maintain, clean and store vehicles, while keeping its regular customer-service operations at Mitchell International Airport.
