Controversial Walmart Proposal Approved in South MIlwaukee

Store will be built on Chicago Avenue.

Aldermen in South Milwaukee approved a new Walmart to be built at 222 N. Chicago Ave. despite vocal opposition to the project from some residents.

Alderman Erik Brooks has an interesting post at his South Milwaukee Blog about the contentious meeting, why he voted yes and links to other media coverage.
