County Executive Candidates Will Talk South Shore Issues

Abele, Stone will weigh in on 794 Parkway extension, Hoan Bridge and more at South Milwaukee forum.

Residents hoping to hear what Milwaukee County executive candidates have to say about South Shore issues will have their chance. 

Jeff Stone and Chris Abele will participate in a "South Shore Forum for Economic Development" at 6:30 p.m. March 16 at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, 901 15th Ave. The forum will also include the mayors of St. Francis, Cudahy and South Milwaukee.

Several topics at the forum will be of interest to Oak Creek residents.

The Hoan Bridge, a possible extension of the Interstate 794 Parkway, the airport, mass transit and the lakefront will be among the issues discussed, according to a news release. 

"This event provides a great opportunity for South Shore residents to hear from current and future policy makers on issues relating to jobs and economic development," Milwaukee County Supervisor Patricia Jursik said in a news release.

Jursik, who represents a portion of Oak Creek, is co-hosting the forum with Supervisor Marina Dimitrijevic.
