Family and Child Flu Shot Clinics in October at Oak Creek Health Center

On October 26 from 4pm to 7pm the Oak Creek Health Department will be holding a family flu shot clinic.  You and your family can get flu shots, as long as you make an appointment in advance.  The clinic is by appointment only.

The next day, October 27, the Health Department will hold a special childhood flu and immunization clinic.  Again, the clinic is by appointment only.  The clinic is open from 9am to 11am.

In addition to the clinic, childhood influenza vaccines are available at the regular immunizations clinics, which take place the 1st Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 5pm, and the 3rd Thursday of each month from 9am to 11am.

Fees and Required Paperwork

There is $10 administration fee per child for residents or students who attend the Oak Creek/Franklin School District and $15 for non-residents.

If your child is currently covered by BadgerCare+ or Medicaid, then to avoid paying the fee, you must show their current Forward Card.

Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  A copy of your child’s immunization record is required, so don't forget to bring it.

Parents may also get a flu shot for $30.

Flu Mist Vaccine

Flu Mist (live intranasal) vaccine is available to healthy children while supplies last.  If your child has a health condition, the Health Department probably won't give  the Flu Mist.  Speak to the nurse about it when you get to the clinic.
