Five Vying For Open Oak Creek Council Seat

The Oak Creek Common Council will appoint an alderman to fill Mayor Steve Scaffidi's vacant seat in a special meeting Monday night.

The Oak Creek Common Council will interview five residents who applied to fill the open seat vacated when Steve Scaffidi was elected mayor.

Fred Siepert, James Ruetz, Amy Burger, Richard Muza and Kevin Rokenbrodt are vying for the 3rd District aldermanic position. The council will interview them seperately in a 6:30 p.m. meeting Monday at , 8640 S. Howell Ave.

The five sitting aldermen will then discuss the interviews before appointing a 3rd District alderman. The appointee will serve the remainder of Scaffidi's term, which expires next April.
