The installation of a water main will result in lane closures on Puetz Road near Howell Avenue until the end of May.
The Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility is overseeing the construction of a water main from Howell Avenue to Liberty Lane, Utility Engineer Ron Pritzlaff said. Most of the main will be on the north side of Puetz.
Construction began in earnest Monday and will continue until no later than May 23 to accommodate road work planned in June, Pritzlaff said.
Traffic is now down to one lane on westbound Puetz Road from Liberty Lane to about 500 feet east of Liberty Lane (west of Howell Avenue). Lane closures will move east as construction progresses.
