Meeting Set On 27th Street Reconstruction

Residents can give feedback to state Department of Transportation.

A public information meeting on the 27th Street reconstruction project will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 16 in the lower level of St. James Church Hall, 7219 S. 27th St., Franklin.

The informal, open-house style meeting will give residents a chance to meet individually with project staff. The meeting will present the preferred alternative for the expansion of 27th Street and display exhibits on roadway and intersection alternatives, changes to median openings and driveways and the right-of-way impact.

The goal of the meeting is to obtain feedback on the preferred alternative, according to the state Department of Transportation.
