More Lanes Reopen on Rawson Avenue

Two lanes are now open in each direction on Rawson Avenue near Interstate 94, according to the state Department of Transportation. 

The DOT also said it will reopen the on-ramp to I-94 west from westbound Rawson Avenue in late September.

All other ramps will remain closed until late fall, which is when the interchange reconstruction project is expected to finish. 

Work has been ongoing since February. Crews are reconstructing the interchange into a "tight diamond," meaning ramp connections with the cross street will be brought closer to I-94. Officials say this will allow for better traffic flow between the interchange and 13th and 20th streets.
