Finance Committee To Meet For First Time Thursday

Group will present financial-related recommendations to Oak Creek Common Council.

The first meeting of the city's new Finance Committee will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Ave.

The Oak Creek Common Council decided in March to establish the committee, which will meet once a month to discuss significant financial issues and trends. The committee will present recommendations to the council in the form of a quarterly PowerPoint presentation.

In a report to council members, city officials said they hope management-level financial and budgeting information will be developed and presented to the community on a more regular basis, as opposed to only at budget time at the end of the year.
